Coles - Anakie Nurture Fund
Corporate social responsibility is a phrase that means a lot in a press release and very little in the actual world. The way to prove it is to go somewhere, point a camera at the results, and let the evidence speak.
We travelled to Jalna Feedlot in Anakie to document how David and Katy Gillett used a $300,000 Coles Nurture Fund grant to install two large-scale solar power systems across their beef production operation. The footage doesn't need to argue the case. The solar arrays, the operational change, and the impact on the property's emissions do that themselves.
The documentary-style approach suited the material perfectly. This wasn't a story that needed to be dressed up. It needed to be shown at full scale, in context, with the people behind it front and centre.
The expansive landscape of the farm gives the piece a natural sense of importance. Seeing the solar infrastructure against the backdrop of working agricultural land makes the environmental shift feel tangible rather than theoretical.
The result is an honest, grounded piece of content that builds genuine trust in the Nurture Fund's impact for farmers, consumers, and the wider community alike.
