The Good Guys - History of The Good Guys
You've got decades of retail history, a big new team of employees, and the task of making them care about where the brand came from. Traditional training videos usually handle this with a timeline graphic and a voiceover that sounds like it was recorded in 1998.
We had a different idea.
We built a time-jumping retrospective for The Good Guys that used authentic props, wardrobes, and settings from each era to bring the brand's evolution to life. It took real research to nail the visual details of every decade, but that attention to authenticity is exactly what makes the piece work. When each era feels genuinely true to its time, the viewer is pulled into the story rather than past it.
The tone is nostalgic, warm, and just a little cheeky. New starters finish the video feeling a sense of pride and belonging, rather than obligation.
The editing keeps the energy high throughout, which is no small feat when you're jumping between eras. But that's the point. Corporate history doesn't have to be tedious. Serve it with a side of nostalgia and a lot of heart, and it lands every time.
