Specsavers X Ngandabaa Collaboration

When Specsavers partnered with Yuin artist Rheanna Lotter on the "Saltwater Dreaming" limited-edition eyewear collection, the objective was clear: the cultural narrative of the art had to remain the heartbeat of the campaign, not its backdrop.

So we moved the production out of the studio entirely and into the rugged, expansive landscapes of South Australia, where Rheanna worked on her canvas against the backdrop of a striking mountain range.

The cinematic approach centred on juxtaposition. The fine, rhythmic details of the painting process cut against sweeping natural vistas that inform Rheanna's perspective. The intimate and the vast. The hand and the horizon. By building those visual relationships, the viewer understands, intuitively, how traditional stories are translated into wearable art without the spiritual significance being stripped away.

Natural light. High-end cinematography. And a product presented as what it actually is: a premium piece of art that happens to be something you can wear.

The result demonstrates Specsavers' genuine commitment to First Nations eye health with an authenticity that lands across social media and in-store alike. Beautiful work, done with the respect the collaboration required.
